Feel like you are forced to pay high prices for mediocre meals and often substandard service ?
Has the ice chest in your hotel room leaked on the carpet one to many times ?
Don't get me wrong...... I like most people very much enjoy a nice meal out while on vacation. I love experiencing the local cuisine, love being waited on and having someone else cook and clean.... but it is soooo.... costly.... and time consuming..... and sometimes just a big pain in the derriere to go and eat out every single meal for the entire week.
This is a major reason why we like to travel to awesome vacation condominiums. Nice spacious accommodations with, dare I say it "a full kitchen". Yes a kitchen !
We are foodies, snackers, and we always enjoy having a little something to nosh on in our sweet little kitchen when we travel. I am a big fan of saving money, who isn't ? On vacation we do not go out and eat every single meal for practical and often lazy reasons. After all vacations are for being lazy... aren't they?
One of my favorite foodie experiences was in Orlando Florida with a dear friend of mine. I call her Trinket. We were celebrating her birthday in style that year! Trinket is quite health conscious and managed to elevate the level of breakfast to an art form. We went to the market and purchased fruit, muffins and cute little bottles of smoothies.
She whipped up a lovely fruit salad that lasted the week. Everything looked so pretty I snapped this photo. We celebrated our mornings in a healthy, economical way, and we had us a fabulous vacation to boot... Happy Birthday Trink !
A food hostage no more !
